I've been Tagged!

I have been tagged by Carla to tell 7 weird & unusual facts about myself. I have been told I'm about the weirdest person ever, so here goes:

1. I have a perfect driving record. True story!

2. I've never broken a bone in my body. There were times I was sure I had to of, like the time I jumped off the roof, cause I thought I could fly.(Hey, I had my cape!) I learned about gravity that day, but fortunately no broken bones.

3. I talked to myself. Actually carry on a conversation with myself. I've even argued with myself and lost! I've been told by many therapist that this is completely normal. "No it's not!" "Yes, it is!" "No it's not!" "Yes...ugh!"

4. I expect more from myself, than I do others. I don't know if that's weird or unusual, but it is a fact.

5. I love old things. Probably why I like the distressed look when scrapbooking. I love vintage cars, antique furniture and the old style clothes. So unique and so romantic. Which brings me to number...

6. I'm a big romantic at heart. I love romance stories, chick flix and snuggling. I find romance in little things, like the time my hubby came home from work and gave me a paper clip. He said he had been thinking about me all day. I wore that paper clip to work everyday. When someone would ask why I had a paper clip on my blouse, I told them it reminded me that my husband thinks about me all the time. I now keep it in my jewelry box. It will always be special to me!

7. I love to sing and dance, like a rock star! That's right! I bust the moves and hit all the highs and lows....I'd be so embarrassed if anyone saw me!

Okay, so am I the weirdest person? Probably not! We are all weird and unusual in our own ways. It is what makes us unique. I won't be tagging anyone, because I believe everyone I know in the blogging world has been good and tagged. So I will just look forward to reading what they have to say.

Thank You, Carla for tagging me. This was fun!

Dawn's Blog Challenge

Blog about the dumbest purchase you have ever made!! Scrappy or not!
Well it wasn't scrappy. And it really wasn't my purchase. I did it for someone I thought was my friend. They wanted a cell phone and convinced me they needed it. Their credit was bad and so they couldn't qualify. So I put everything in my name. The contract was for a year with a $250 penalty. The first bill (which included the setup, phone and first month service) came and when I asked for the payment, you got it, they didn't have it. I paid it, to preserve my name and credit. I never received the payment from them and the next month got another bill. This so called friend had skipped town, so I bit the bullet and cancelled the service. My daughter worked for the cell company, so she was able to get the $250 penalty dropped. But it was still an expensive lesson.

Blog Challenge 3/9/08

About Daylight Savings Time. Arizona does not change it's time. And I love it! No feeling like I'm losing an hour. No having to get used to darker or lighter, earlier or later. It's all just constant. Makes things so much easier.

Blog Challenge 3/1/08

We did an "All About Me" crop in March on Scrap-A-Latte. I was only able to finish one LO before I got sick. I was so disappointed. I had been looking forward to this crop for some time. This blog challenge was supposed to be prep work for that crop. I am to list my identifible marks that are unique to me. I don't have any pictures to show, but I have a bunch of moles. One in particular is no longer with me. It was about the size of a dime on my back. Since I could not see it, it did not bother me, but it bothered everyone else, so I finally had it removed. Now a scar is in it's place. I have a birth mark on my left elbow, looks like dirt. I have a scar on my forehead along my hairline that I have had since I was about 3. I fell out of the car. I have another scar just above my right breast where a section of one of my ribs was removed when I was 18. They thought it was a bone tumor, turned out to be extra cartilidge. Go figure. Those are my most distinquishable identifible marks.

Me & My New Grandson

I didn't write down the challenges for February, so I have decided to talk about the wonderful event that happened on February 23. My daughter went into labor in the wee hours of the morning. Though I knew I didn't have to be there right away, I wanted to. London was born at 11:07. Watching Sarah give birth was truly such an emotional experience. I felt things I had never felt before. I don't think I have ever seen my daughter look more beautiful.

Blog Challenge 2/2/08

Write about that one special person that you've had in your life for a long time, that knows your secrets, that shared your fun & tears.
That person would probably be my sister. Though she is 6 years younger than me, I feel so comfortable talking to her, no matter how long it has been since our last conversation. I remember when she was born, I literally hated her. I had been the only girl of 6 kids. When she came along, I thought I wasn't special anymore. But over the years I began to realize that my little sister was actually the best friend I could ever have. And I love her so very much!!!
